Clydesdale Shuttle

Original mesh by Raul Mamoru
Kitbash packs by Rex Hsu and Mona Ghafourian

Growing my skills by redoing this model from scratch using the origal mesh as a base.

BTW if you know the original concept artists/designer for this shuttle please let me know!

Decals are all texture painted on now.

Pretty much done with the outside, now to work on the inside details.

Retoppoed the glass and now it has good shading. Need to work on a better material for it.

Plagiarized this idea from Howie Day. At a sharp enough angle you can get a glimmer of the specular colors just like his big ships. The colors are all random based on the geo.

Also UV unwrapped the panels to add a grunge texture to dirty up the hull

Most difficult pieces are finished! From here on out it's just adding more detail.

Doesn't look like it but the geo for these engines is all new. Redid them a few times now to get the topo right to cut out the panel detail.

It's hollow just like the original model. Added some other detail. Still feeling it out.

Might ditch the "specular color" detail. Doesn't really fit the "dirty work horse" look.

Getting close to the end now. The big and medium details are pretty much done. Just going to add a few more small things here and there.

Never played with Blender's texture painting area and now wondering why it took me this long to get into it....

(the #5 and the star fleet icon are separate mesh, not painted/stamped yet)
